About the role
This internship offers engineering experience within the SFMTA Planning and Engineering Internship Program. Interns will work on transportation projects and participate in seminars and field trips.
What you’ll do
• Develop design alternatives for transportation projects. • Perform field visits and prepare traffic control device work orders. • Draft in AutoCAD and prepare striping drawings. • Estimate project costs for traffic-related work. • Support public outreach and prepare legislation.
What you’ll bring
• Enrolled in accredited university or community college. • Pursuing degree in Civil, Traffic, or Transportation Engineering. • Must be based in Bay Area during internship. • No previous experience necessary. • Work authorization for US required.
