About the role
Perform complex inpatient coding to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely hospital billing. Provide expertise in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS coding, and DRG assignment to optimize reimbursement and reduce denials.
What you’ll do
• Analyze inpatient clinical documentation for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes. • Code a wide range of inpatient cases across medical specialties. • Ensure accurate MS-DRG, Discharge Disposition, and POA code assignment. • Maintain and exceed productivity and quality standards. • Review documentation and initiate provider queries to resolve discrepancies.
What you’ll bring
• 3-5 years inpatient coding experience in acute care or hospital. • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred. • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRG coding. • Work authorization for United States. • Preferred certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P.
