About the role
The Inpatient Coder III assigns ICD-10 codes to inpatient medical records ensuring compliance and accuracy. This role supports Health Information Management and collaborates with clinical teams to optimize coding and financial integrity.
What you’ll do
• Perform remote inpatient coding for CHS hospitals. • Ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding guidelines. • Submit queries for documentation clarification. • Collaborate with CDI teams for accurate coding. • Maintain 95% coding accuracy and productivity.
What you’ll bring
• H.S. Diploma or GED required. • 1-3 years inpatient coding experience in acute care. • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or RHIT or RHIA required. • Experience with EMR and coding software. • Work authorization for United States.
