About the role
Work closely with production to build, integrate, test, and refurbish Starship heat shield hardware. Support design updates for flight reliability and production efficiency.
What you’ll do
• Integrate and test heat shield hardware on assembled ships. • Evaluate flown ships and coordinate repair and replacement. • Drive design solutions for reusable heat shield. • Work closely with production team. • Design tooling to improve efficiency and reliability.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor’s in material science, mechanical, materials or aerospace engineering. • 1+ years engineering experience with mechanical or thermal systems. • Ability to work extended hours and weekends. • Ability to travel domestically. • Must pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral and meet ITAR requirements.
