About the role
Contribute to GitLab's Security Factory Code Scanning team by enhancing the static analysis engine to find security issues in code. Collaborate with engineers and AI agents to improve detection and reduce false positives and negatives.
What you’ll do
• Extend program model for new languages and frameworks. • Build AI-assisted tooling for engine changes and validation. • Develop SAST rules mapped to CWE and OWASP. • Implement component specs with engineers and AI agents. • Participate in on-call rotations for troubleshooting.
What you’ll bring
• Experience using AI or LLM tools with sound judgment. • Proficient in Rust or Go for production code. • Interest in static analysis and application security. • Ability to work independently in remote asynchronous environment. • Work authorization for hiring country.
