About the role
Contribute to the development and qualification of advanced polymer and composite materials for superconducting magnets. Design, validate and implement innovative materials for high-field superconducting magnets.
What you’ll do
• Develop novel polymer and composite materials for superconducting magnets. • Design and validate manufacturing techniques for insulation systems. • Identify material technologies and processing techniques. • Establish new experimental capabilities.
What you’ll bring
• Experience in material characterisation techniques. • Experience in composite and polymer processing. • Knowledge of superconducting magnet technologies is a plus. • Knowledge of materials science and testing. • Must be national of CERN Member or Associate Member State.
