About the role
Join CERN's team to develop vacuum systems for the FCC-ee accelerator. Work on material selection, prototyping, testing, and validation for ultra-high vacuum components.
What you’ll do
• Develop FCC-ee vacuum systems and prototype components. • Select and validate materials and manufacturing processes. • Contribute to in-house manufacturing technology development. • Collaborate with CERN teams and external partners. • Communicate regularly with CERN services and institutes.
What you’ll bring
• Experience with copper alloys and ceramic materials for UHV. • Knowledge of metallic and ceramic additive manufacturing. • Skills in metals processing and welding technologies. • Proficiency in CNC machining and CAD design. • Must be national of CERN Member or Associate State.
