About the role
Provide full-time medical records coding services for the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System. Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with national standards and VA policies.
What you’ll do
• Perform accurate inpatient and outpatient coding. • Review clinical documentation and validate codes. • Support data integrity and compliance. • Meet VA productivity and quality benchmarks. • Participate in audit activities as required.
What you’ll bring
• Required certifications: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS-P. • Hospital inpatient coding experience mandatory. • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS. • Knowledge of CMS, AMA CPT, VHA/VA standards. • Must pass VHA background investigations and credentialing.
