About the role
Administer a public information program to educate the public about department facilities and activities. Develop and disseminate publicity releases and coordinate media coverage.
What you’ll do
• Develop publicity releases for print, broadcast, and online media. • Coordinate review of online coverage and maintain press clipping files. • Prepare administrative studies and reports with supporting data. • Attend meetings and report to department head or commission. • Formulate and carry out public information and education programs.
What you’ll bring
• Current Category 16, 17, or 18 exempt employee in Class 1312. • Baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience. • Two years professional experience in public relations or related field. • Experience preparing and disseminating news and information. • Work authorization for City and County of San Francisco employment.
