About the role
Build internal software to understand, attribute, and plan cloud infrastructure costs and capacity for GitLab.com. Lead technical direction and foundational development for cloud cost and capacity management.
What you’ll do
• Build data pipelines from Google Cloud billing and telemetry. • Attribute shared costs across Kubernetes clusters. • Develop capacity tooling for reservation planning. • Ship internal apps for cloud footprint management. • Set data models and engineering standards.
What you’ll bring
• Experience designing and shipping backend services end to end. • Strong SQL skills with large datasets and data pipelines. • Knowledge of Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and billing models. • Proficiency in programming languages like Go or Python. • Work authorization for the hiring location.
