About the role
Lead the backend team building recommender systems infrastructure at Raya. Drive tech strategy and enhance user experience on core product surfaces.
What you’ll do
• Build and retain high-performing backend recommender systems team. • Own reliable, low-latency production systems and incident response. • Create and execute technical strategy with product intuition. • Partner with ML team to define roadmaps and balance improvements. • Co-own experimentation processes with Data Science.
What you’ll bring
• 3+ years managing engineers with hiring and career development. • Experience leading production recommender systems at scale. • Hands-on with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems. • Expertise in Go, Java/JVM, Postgres, AWS/GCP, Kubernetes. • Work authorization for United States.
