About the role
Build and operate software that connects Toast's services and infrastructure reliably. Improve scalability, resilience, and observability of critical systems.
What you’ll do
• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate connectivity software. • Improve scalability and resilience of systems. • Own systems end-to-end for safer rollouts and easier failure resolution. • Investigate production issues and participate in on-call. • Collaborate across teams and mentor others.
What you’ll bring
• 5+ years backend engineering in Kotlin or similar. • Strong experience with distributed systems. • Experience owning and operating production systems. • Track record solving ambiguous, high-impact challenges. • Work authorization for Ireland.
