Senior Ubuntu Embedded IoT System Engineer

About the role
Represent Canonical with OEMs and partners to deliver Ubuntu on embedded IoT hardware. Improve Ubuntu for millions of users in robotics, automotive, and other sectors.
What you’ll do
• Provide software and system engineering services for OEM and ODM customers. • Work closely with partners on platform bring up. • Identify, triage, and fix critical problems with project teams. • Conduct root cause analysis and explain results. • Facilitate communication between Ubuntu, firmware, and hardware teams.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor or higher in STEM, preferably Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. • Professional English with excellent presentation skills. • Familiar with C, Python, Bash, and Linux boot process. • Experience with Linux kernel, bootloader development, and Arm/non-X86 platforms. • Ability to travel internationally twice a year and work in a distributed team.
