About the role
Lead backend development for GitLab Security's vulnerability and dependency management systems. Design scalable services and collaborate across teams to deliver security features.
What you’ll do
• Lead large technical deliverables from problem definition to delivery. • Design backend systems for security report ingestion and querying. • Build and improve systems using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL. • Shape technical plans and guide other engineers. • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners.
What you’ll bring
• Experience leading complex backend projects hands-on. • Strong PostgreSQL skills including query and table optimization. • Professional experience with Ruby on Rails or Go. • Ability to guide technical decisions and support engineers. • Work authorization for remote role in India.
